The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, met on Tuesday, November 28, with the Board of Directors of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC) where she explained to the employers' representatives the new fiscal measures and the impulse to entrepreneurship impelled by the Municipal Government.

In this meeting, the first mayor informed them about the lines of microcredit, the new line of subsidies of the Plan of Support for Investment in the Historic District (PAICA) and the new fiscal ordinances for the next financial year 2018.

The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, informed the board of directors of the Confederation of Business Organizations, COEC, of ​​the different actions carried out by the government team to help entrepreneurs.

Among other actions, a line of microcredits has been launched at zero cost for entrepreneurs, aid to cooperativism and the area of ​​action of the Paica has been extended to various streets, all of them from the Economic Strategy Area, run by the mayor .

Ana Belén Castejón also explained the tax cuts in the ICIO for those who want to start up a hotel business, as well as the extension of the ICIO reduction to the creation of employment for companies that are located outside the industrial estates.

The president of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC), Pedro Pablo Hernández, thanked the mayor, on behalf of the businessmen, that their proposals have been taken into account when preparing the tax cuts.

Hernandez also thanked the spirit of collaboration of the City of Cartagena with all the business fabric of the city.

In the meeting held, both the businessmen and the mayor, agreed that he has to continue working so that the infrastructures that the city needs from the business materialize as soon as possible, is the case of the arrival of the AVE, the construction of the ZAL (creation of the Logistics Activities Zone), or that of the Mediterranean Corridor.
