The Councils of Education and Sports of the City of Cartagena, through the municipal school absenteeism and approach to sport (ADE) programs, are promoting a series of preventive activities framed in the sports field, within the prevention campaign of the school absenteeism that carries the slogan 'Every day without fail'.
The first of these actions consists of visits by athletes to different schools in Cartagena, as reference figures of the importance of education, perseverance and effort to achieve success and social recognition.
Hugo Rodríguez, Pau Torres and Alejandro Chavero, football players of the first albinegra team have been the athletes who have started the first visit of FC Cartagena players meeting on Thursday with the students of CEIP La Asomada in Cartagena.
The players met with the students for more than an hour, explaining their own experiences about the school and answering all the questions that the children asked them.
Previously, the video was displayed that the Department of Education has developed to prevent school absenteeism.
At the end of the event, the children had the opportunity to ask for autographs and photographs.
Chavero, Hugo and Pau gave the school two balloons signed by all the staff and an official scarf of FC Cartagena, as well as tickets for last Saturday's game against Betis Deportivo, thanks to the Club Foundation and within the agreement made with the City Council to bring sports to schoolchildren in Cartagena.
For this match, nearly a thousand entries were distributed among Primary and Secondary students, among them IES Isaac Peral and IES Politécnico.
