The Cartagena Jazz Festival, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, presents a very positive balance with respect to previous editions.
What has been the 37th edition has grossed 50% more than last year, accounting for almost ten thousand people in the seven nights of the festival.
"We are living a very good moment in the jazz festival and it is that three basic aspects of any event are united: public support, good journalistic criticism and good box office", has indicated the councilman of Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez Noguera .
"In this edition since the festival we have opted for the female voice and we have programmed half of our concerts where the women were the protagonists, the response from the public has been exceptional.
We had never raised so much at the box office in a jazz festival, getting almost ten thousand people in all our concerts, "says Martinez.
The festival, which was held at the Nuevo Teatro Circo and the El Batel Auditorium, also included Street Jazz sections, concerts in the historic center of Cartagena and the Off Jazz, concerts in Cartagena venues.
Parallel programs that increasingly increase, increasing the number of concerts in each edition.
