The Astus association held a dinner on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary.
The celebration took place last Friday, November 24, at El Jardin de los Molinos.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín, and deputy Antonio Guillamón, attended the dinner in which the City Council received the special mention that this group gives to the agencies and institutions for their support and collaboration.
The mayor highlighted the enormous work carried out by the partners, workers and volunteers of Astus to build a more inclusive Cartagena, and thanked them for their dedication and dedication.
The mayor addressed the audience to thank the association, the fifty years of struggle and effort to achieve the full inclusion of people with disabilities in the municipality.
Castejón also took the opportunity to congratulate the rest of the winners: El Batel Auditorium, Fernando Saéz de Elorrieta, Robles Ballet School, the Tercio de Levante, Ilboc, the CajaMurcia Foundation and the Port Authority.
In the same actio, the president of Astus, Joaquín Barberá, received the title of Honorary Member 2017.
