The Local Government Board, meeting this morning, under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the commitment to include in the draft general budget of 2018 the necessary credits for the call for subsidies for the acquisition or transformation of vehicles auto-taxis adapted for people with reduced mobility (eurotaxi).
The measure has been promoted by the councils of Finance and Sustainable Development and Transparency, directed by Isabel García and María José Soler, respectively.
The subsidies will be regulated in a competitive competition regime, destined to the holders of auto-taxis licenses granted by the City Council in 2018. The total amount of these will be 54,000 euros.
The required adaptation requires making a modification to the rear of the vehicle to enable an area where it is possible to transport a disabled person with a wheelchair.
To access it, it is necessary to provide the car with a ramp.
