Cartagena will soon have 19 new agents of the Local Police, as has been approved this morning at the Government Board of the City of Cartagena, under the presidency of the mayor Ana Belén Castejón.

Specifically, the specific bases for the selection of 4 agents in mobility shift and 15 in free shift, included in the 2016 Public Employment Offer, have been given the green light. The four mobility shift seats are reserved for agents of Local Police of other municipalities of the Region of Murcia that want to work in Cartagena and that, in case of being deserted, they would go to swell the places offered free shift.

Likewise, the adherence of the Local Police of Cartagena to the Protocol for the Protection of Victims of Domestic and Gender Violence has been agreed, which promotes coordination and collaboration with the rest of the State's security forces and bodies.

The fundamental objective of this protocol is to establish the basic criteria of collaboration that allow optimizing resources, both human and material, of the State security forces and bodies existing in the municipal area, so as to guarantee the effective compliance of judicial measures of protection for victims of sexist violence.
