The Auditorium El Batel will host on Sunday, December 3, the concert of the Symphonic Band of the Federation of Murcia, whose benefits will go, entirely, to the Prometheus Association, which performs its social work with disabled people of the municipality of Cartagena.
The details of this solidarity act has been given Thursday at a press conference by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
The president of the Prometheus Association, Ascension Mendez and the president of the Federation of Bands of Murcia, Ginesa Zamora, were next to the mayor.
The mayor has highlighted the great work carried out by the Prometeo association in the entire region of Cartagena, because we are aware that all aid is necessary and that is why we have wanted to collaborate by scheduling this concert at the Batel Auditorium.
The management of the town hall has been necessary so that this year the music event takes place in the Batel Auditorium and not as in previous editions held at the Politecnica University.
The councilman of Culture has also praised the quality of the Symphonic Band of the Federation of Murcia, which is composed of one hundred and five federated musicians, from the thirty-six bands of the region.
This band offers only two or three concerts a year, all of them beneficial and on this occasion the celebration of its 20th anniversary coincides.
In the recital that they will give in Cartagena, on December 3, will be to the baton Jóse Miguel Rodilla.
The director has chosen a repertoire of three pieces: 'El torreón de los Templarios', by Ignacio Sánchez;
'The Olympus of the Gods', by Oscar Navarro;
and the 'Bolero de Rabel', is the last piece because this is the year dedicated to the figure of Rabel.
The ticket prices are 8 euros in an armchair and 6 in the amphitheater, and can be purchased at the Batel ticket office or online at the website of the auditorium itself, www.auditorioelbatel.es.
In addition the organizers have enabled a row 0, for all those who can not attend the concert but want to collaborate.

All the proceeds obtained from this charity concert will go entirely to the Prometheus association, whose main work is the full labor and social cultural integration of people with mental, physical and sensorial disabilities, through work.
The association has a day center in Torre Pacheco, a center for early childhood care and attention, attended by people from the entire region of Cartagena.
David Martínez has taken advantage of the presentation of the musical event to reiterate the proposal that his group has made before the Regional Assembly, and that has been unanimously approved, a proposal that will also be presented before the Municipal Plenary and that consists of a knowledge of the Cartagena music bands as well as Cultural Interest and that measures are adopted for the promotion of musical activities and that the teaching of music schools that is considered non-regulated, happens to be artistic education.
