Last Sunday, November 19, in the pavilion of La Vaguada School, the first inter-school badminton tournament in Cartagena was held.
A tournament open to all schoolchildren of the Region of Cartagena and that intends to start in the competition all players of the Cartagena Badminton Club schools.
This tournament has the support of the Department of Sports and has been the first of the three that will form the Inter-School Badminton Circuit of Cartagena.
This tournament had an enrollment of forty participants from the different schools of the Club: School of Jiménez de la Espada, School San Agustín de Fuente Álamo and Colegio Hispania.
RESULTS
In sub 9 category the champion was Pablo Hernández and runner-up Paco Gómez.
In the women's sub 11 category Victoria Sansano won the victory and finished second, Diana Sanleandro;
in the same category, but masculine, the best was Leo Jiménez and the second Antonio Gómez.
In sub 13 category Pablo Otón was the first and the second classified was Alexandre Ortolá;
On the part of the girls the champion was, Lola Carrión.
In sub masculine category the champion was Gustavo Garzo, being runner Víctor Jiménez, while in the feminine picture, the champion Rosalía Asensio and subchampion Patricia Horrillo.
And finally, in the male sub 17 category, Mario Mateo prevailed and in the feminine modality, Laura Garcia was the runner-up, Leydi Pasaca.
At the end of the day a mini doubles tournament was played, in which all the players were selected to play with partners from different schools, estoq made the day end with a minimum of 7 games played by each child.
