The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, announced today at the act of oath of the new members of the Bar Association that the City Council will dedicate a street of the municipality to the dean of the same during two terms, Luis Ruipérez.

"He was a magnificent lawyer, a better person and a great worker for our municipality that deserves this recognition," said Castejón.

The mayor has recognized that the City of Justice is a necessary infrastructure, whose construction should not be delayed.

"The current facilities of the Palace of Justice are insufficient and obsolete and it is necessary to find a solution, although the construction of the new dependencies depends on the Ministry of Justice, everything that can be done from the City Council, including the cession of land, swaps or as many negotiations as necessary, will be carried out as quickly as possible, "he said.

During this event, the Silver Medals were also handed out to the city's lawyers who have been working in their files for 25 years without any blemishes, to which the mayor congratulated after pointing out that they are an example to be followed by all Cartagena lawyers.

The ceremony was chaired by the dean of the College, José Muelas, and twelve new lawyers have also taken possession of it.

The Silver Insignia has been delivered to the following nineteen lawyers: María Belén Belmonte Bas, Emilio Azofra Alcázar, Isabel María Iglesias Martínez, Manuel Mesa del Castillo Clavel, Miguel Angel Albaladejo Campoy, Mariano Oliver Sánchez, Félix Cros Martínez, Juan Fernando Macanás Muñoz, Violeta del Rey Mazón, Jesús Jiménez-Casquet Sánchez, Francisco Javier Gracia Navarro, Álvaro Roda Alcantud, Ascensión López Ortega, José Luis Pretel Jiménez, Alfonso Ledo Fernández, María José Soriano Asuar, Ángel Méndez Bernal, Ángel Cegarra Castejón, and Mariano Cartagena Seville.

In the same act, the following twelve new lawyers have been sworn in: Soraya López Patrocinio, José Luis Juan Conesa, Alicia Lario Rodríguez, Joaquín Gabriel Zapata García, Juan José Manzanares Manzanares, Joaquín Simón Páez, Juan David Molina Hurtado, Andrés Pérez García, María de los Ángeles Jiménez Barberá, Carmelo Moreno Lorente, Pilar Martínez Bonmatí and Coral Nicolás Pomares.
