Councilman Equality, David Martinez, on Thursday dismissed a group of more than twenty women who will participate this weekend at the First Congress of Romani Feminism, held in Madrid.

The mayor encouraged them to take advantage of this meeting "to fight for real and effective equality."

To point out that this First Congress aims to be a turning point in the overcoming of anti-Gypsyism and in the struggle of women whose history has been marked by being undervalued, being a woman and being a gypsy.
