The City of Cartagena has been distinguished this morning, together with Águilas, by the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business and the Institute of Development, as "Entrepreneur Municipality of the year" for its high degree of compliance with the activities of promoting entrepreneurship collected in the agreement signed between the INFO and the Murcian consistories 27 integrated into the network "Entrepreneur Municipality."
The award has been collected by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, from the counselor Juan Hernández.
The mayor has commented on the encouragement that this recognition implies to the work carried out by the City Council of Cartagena, especially through the Economic Strategy Area and the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), whose manager, Manuel Mora, was also present.
Castejón has commented on the current entrepreneurial tools that the City Council has put in the hands of the entrepreneurs, such as micro-credits at zero cost that allow the start-up of a business without interest within a period of 36 months;
the aid to the cooperativism and the social economy on which the consistory is carrying out a campaign of diffusion and promotion of this way of undertaking associating with other workers;
and the support plan for the investment in the Historic Center that has recently been extended to other areas and that allows grants of up to 10,000 euros.
The mayor has encouraged citizens and small businesses to visit the ADLE and learn about the multiple tools that have been made available to them to start up new businesses, which has earned the City of Cartagena this award, with the which has reached 11 of the 12 parameters established by the regional administration.
