The spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padin, held this morning, at the Palacio de Molina, a meeting with the Councilor for Youth, Ricardo Segado on the occasion of the implementation of the orange amendment to the 2017 municipal budgets regarding the creation of a program for the return of talent to Cartagena.
Mowed together with technicians from the Department of Youth have presented a proposal detailing the general and specific objectives, actions, the groups to which it is intended, and the duration of the program.
Citizens has given its approval to the proposal and has appreciated the diligence and work of the workers of the Department, "without doubt they have believed in the project from the start, it has been a firm commitment that will be released soon", has pointed out the spokesman of the orange formation.
The program, which has in its first phase the amount reserved by Cs in the budgets of 30,000 euros, will be put out to public tender between the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018.
It is the first project of return of talent in the municipality of Cartagena whose objective is to strengthen the bond between the young Cartagena emigrants to their land and generate opportunities, favoring contact between emigrated professionals who want to return and local businesses that demand talent and international experience.
With this program it is expected to get in a first phase the contact between the City Council and a community of about 60 young emigrants from Cartagena who want to return.
They will be offered advice via Skype and will require training a team of mediators to carry out this work.
In this sense, once the community is created, contact will be made with companies in Cartagena as well as the publication of job offers suitable for the training of migrant professionals.
Before starting the actions of the program, a map of public resources available in the Youth Council will be drawn up, showing both the professionals who can participate in the program and the precise services.
It will also be necessary to draw up a communication plan through all the means available to us both to attract the emigrants and to make the project known to our business network and society.

The program includes the design and development of a website in which all the project information will be collected.
Both the Councilor for Youth and the local spokesman for Citizens have agreed that this project is not conceived without its corresponding continuity, for which reason they have agreed that the cost and implementation strategy should be multi-year.
