A group of active workers and former members of the staff of the Navantia shipyard in Cartagena have joined their art to participate in a collective exhibition that opens this Friday, November 17, at 7:00 pm, on the first floor of the Ramón Cultural Center Alonso Luzzy.
The event will be attended by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
Paintings, drawings, models and photographs make up the exhibition "Alba de Mar", a varied and unique exhibition that has that sea that artists have chosen as the guiding thread of their works.
It will be open until next December 22.
With the sea as background
The joint exhibition is held for the second year in a row, since the first edition was organized at ISEN university center.
The exhibition consists of about thirty works that allow visitors to approach the sea from different perspectives, places and points of view, while leaving us such emblematic spaces as the lighthouse of Cabo de Palos, the Port of Cartagena, Calblanque at night or what will be the future submarine S80.
The artists who exhibit their works are Isabel Espejo Navarro, Ángel Cárceles Alonso, Vicente Carrión Iniesta, Paco Murcia, Fina García Nácher, José Pérez Martínez, Aureliano Rodríguez Soler, Pedro Soto García, José Marín Redondo, Pedro Martínez Asensio, Verónica Lirón, Antonio Rey Cuerda and Ignacio López-Miranda González.
The delegate councilor of Cultural, David Martinez, has been "very pleased to open the Luzzy to all citizens who want to publicize their works of art.
The exhibition Alba de Mar is a magnificent example of a collective of workers who dedicate their free time to paint, draw or make models and our desire is that citizens come to know these works made with a great dose of enthusiasm and effort.
