The health personnel of the Emergency Service of Primary Care (SUAP) of the Virgen de la Caridad Health Center - Cartagena East, known as 'El Parchís', has informed the representatives of the Local Government of their considerations after the recent events that occurred in the neighborhood.
In this sense, and before the transfer of the SUAP, from the Hospital of Santa María del Rosell to the Health Center, fact that has been consummated today, the workers have shown their concern about the recent insecurity in the neighborhood.
This issue must be addressed by the Regional Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community (CARM), the administration on which it depends.
The appointment took place in the administrative building of San Miguel today, Wednesday 15th, between the councilor of the area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón, and the mayor of the Government, José López, and has had a wide representation of the personnel assigned to the Emergency Service of 'El Parchís'.
The mayor of the area of ​​Health, has attended the approaches made by the professionals of the SUAP, while he has indicated his intention to hold a next meeting with the management of the area of ​​Health II.
In this meeting he will transmit these questions and others, such as the study of the possible relocation of the SUAP from 'El Parchís' to the Health Center of the Barrio de la Concepción, as suggested by the service professionals this morning.
This hypothetical distribution, in the opinion of the employees, would allow a better territorial coverage, adding to the emergencies of the Hospital del Rosell and the SUAP of Los Dolores, which operates in the north of the municipality, the service in the Barrio de la Concepción to serve to the west zone.
Prior to the meeting, Calderón recalled the work done from his council, as well as from the Joint Health Commission, to separate the SUAP from the activity of the Hospital del Rosell, since it has always been advocated that there were "outpatient emergency services" and hospital. "
In this way, there would have been an overlap of both benefits, which would have resulted in a more than probable reduction of the workforce.
In any case, the mayor has aligned with the members of the SUAP of the Cartagena East Health Center, in order to request the CARM to reinforce the resources destined to guarantee safety, both for the workers and for the users.
