The Association of Friends of the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena, (MVSAEDOMVS), held its second photo contest 'Antonio Acosta Hernández' on the regional archaeological theme, with the collaboration of the Department of Heritage of the City Council and the Archaeological Museum itself.

Of the forty-five works that competed, the first prize went to the snapshot 'La memoria de la tierra', by Miguel Martínez (Murcia), the second prize went to 'Nuestra Sra. De las Mercedes II', by Esperanza García and finally, the third prize was obtained by the photograph 'Arco', by Alberto Lucas González (Cieza).

The awards ceremony was held on Saturday, November 11, and the event was attended by the General Coordinator of Archaeological Heritage, María del Carmen Berrocal, the head of archeology of the Municipal Archaeological Museum Enrique Escudero de Castro, Miguel Martín and the president of the Association of Friends of the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena, María Teresa Sánchez.

Also present was Emilia Rodríguez de Viguri, widow of Antonio Acosta Hernández, founding member of this museum to whom they dedicate this contest in their memory, and other members of the jury, as well as participants in the contest, partners and supporters of the association.

The exhibition of the 45 works submitted to the contest can be visited until December 16 on the top floor of the Municipal Archaeological Museum, Ramón y Cajal Street No. 45 (Cartagena).
