The Regional Group of Manos Unidas in Cartagena celebrated on Sunday the ninth edition of its Paella Solidaria.
The event, which brought together several hundred people, took place at the Cabezo Beaza Sports Center and was attended by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the Councilor for Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón, and the Councilor for Social Services and Mediation Social, Carmen Martín del Amor
This year the benefits obtained will go to help in the financing of a project that aims to provide economic opportunities to the population of Sierra Leone affected by Ebola and mining.
After lunch there was a raffle of several gifts donated by various businessmen and businesses in Cartagena who, in this way, wanted to collaborate with Manos Unidas.
Paella Solidaria organized by the NGO also had the collaboration of the Department of Sports and Tourism and Commerce of the City of Cartagena, José Díaz Equipamento Hostelero, Estrella de Levante, SEVRES Decoration and Arroyo Sonido, among other entities.
