CTSSP has presented today its proposal in the Bureau of Province and Decentralization of the City Council, which will be raised to the Government and the Regional Assembly.
The municipal group of PODEMOS is committed to an authentic regionalization of the Region, an issue that is pending, which is reflected in the current laws and which is politically and legally viable.
For residential education, the region is the appropriate tool to end centralization and budget discrimination, to bring the administration closer to citizens, improving the provision of public services and recognizing the historical, cultural and social uniqueness of Cartagena.
In the report presented to the Bureau, CTSSP has ruled out that the province is the solution to the problems suffered by the municipality: it is an antiquated institution of the nineteenth century, which serves to centralize the power of the State, which will generate more bureaucracy and charges politicians, which will not have a positive economic impact (almost all of their income would go to current expenses) and that does not serve to improve public services (ours are all large municipalities that already provide them for themselves).
Finally, it has been stressed that there is no consensus among the rest of the municipalities that would be part of this hypothetical province and that the very figure of the Provincial Council is strongly questioned by the parties and a large part of civil society, who see in it a redoubt of new political positions with little or no social utility.
For CTSSP, the capital orientation of the CARM is indisputable, a problem that does not only affect Cartagena but also affects other municipalities and even the districts and neighborhoods of the city of Murcia.
This situation has in the PP the main responsible for not having developed the true decentralization and regionalization that our Region requires and that is established in the Constitution and in the Statute of Autonomy2E
Finally, from the municipal group has been noted that is committed to a few administrations close to the people, for the establishment of true solidarity and budget equity and, above all, to ensure policies for the benefit of the social majorities of the municipality.
- "Defend Cartagena, declared Pilar Marcos, it does not happen to create more bureaucracy or unnecessary political positions, and much less for flags, pins in the lapel or artificial clashes between the peoples, but it happens to take care of our environment, make the investments that they need repealing the Montoro Law, control the public services that we all pay and rehabilitate the most needy neighborhoods of the municipality.
