The FICC46 has been launched this Friday, November 10 with its official presentation to the media at the Palace of Cartagena.
The delegated councilor of Culture, Education and Equality of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez Noguera, the Minister of Transparency, Participation and Spokesperson of the Region of Murcia, Noelia Arroyo Hernández, the President of the FICC, Ignacio Ros Pérez, and the director of the FICC , Esther Baeza Navarro, have shelled the programming of the forty-sixth edition of the Cartagena International Film Festival.
One more year, the FICC has the official sponsorships of the City of Cartagena, which has been betting on the festival since its birth, and Gas Natural Fenosa.
A festival that "does not stop generating new projects, full of expectations, which treasures a great cinematographic history and is already part of the culture of Cartagena," said Martínez Noguera, who announced that this year the Consistory has increased the allocation for this festival at 65,000 euros, and that is intended to continue to increase.
"It is the most important film festival in the Region," said the councilor, which is why initiatives such as the FICCmoteca have been created to keep the festival alive all year round, and municipal spaces such as the Ramón Cultural Center are ceded Alonso Luzzy, where four of the festival's parallel sections will be held.
The counselor also wanted to highlight that position of the film festival as the first of the Region for its "seniority, quality and excellence."
It also has the collaboration of sponsors who continue to support it year after year (Estrella de Levante, MT Helmets, Easycoffee, Cajamurcia, TKROM, Kundaka and Lhicarsa) and of those that are incorporated in this edition, such as FIAT, La Manga Rent a Car and Ilboc, a company based in our city that has sponsored the Korean Film Festival.
The Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia also lends its sponsorship through the ICA (Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts).
The FICC46 will take place from November 26 to December 2, and more than 80 films will be screened between long and short films.

Two films that speak to us about aspects of the Arab reality in a very different way, "EL INSULTO" and "INSYRIATED".
A very tough film that deals with a very common drama in our society: "SHARED CUSTODY", Best Director and Best First Film at the Venice Film Festival, and another film that also deals with a subject as hard as AIDS at the beginning of the 90: "120 PRIZES PER MINUTE", Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
Two Spanish films already premiered, but that have not reached our billboard: "HANDIA", from the same team that made "LOREAK", and "DIE", with some heartbreaking interpretations of Marian Álvarez and Andrés Gertrudix.
