The councilman of Culture, David Martinez, and the director of the Popular University, José Macián, presented yesterday at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center in Cartagena the book 'Mark Oliver', an Anthology that collects a varied sample of all the winning poets of the Oliver Belmás International Poetry Prize in its first thirty years of history.
The mayor of Culture said in the presentation dell ibro that "with this book we celebrate the thirty anniversary of an award that has made it known to Cartagena, the Popular University and its two creators Carmen Conde and Antonio Oliver, around the world" .
During the presentation, the participation of the poet Antonio Marín Albalate, author of the selection of the poems included in the anthology, as well as Alexis Díaz Pimienta, Sebastián Mondejar, Ángel Paniagua and Antonio Aguilar, winners of the Antonio Oliver Prize also stood out. Belmás in different years, who put voice to several of the poems that are collected in the book.
The mayor took the opportunity to present the sculpture that commemorates this Anthology, and that has been enhanced especially for this occasion by Natividad Serrano, a professor at the Popular University.
After the act, the performance of Alexis Díaz Pimienta 'Ensalada de palabras con pimienta' took place, in which, accompanied by Charo Martín, he fused poetry, flamenco and repentismo.
