Before the news of public knowledge regarding new actions in the POKEMON case, cause in which our party is represented as an accusation and that have been published in the newspaper La Verdad, our group wants to communicate to the citizens the following demands that the Government makes of the townhall:
It is essential, now more than ever, the cancellation of the extension of the contract with HIDROGEA until 2042 (which the Government should take to Plenary to make it effective before the deadline for the execution of the extension, which is the 26th of December this year).
In addition, the PSOE has pending, as proposed in a motion approved in November last year, a report on the legal and economic consequences of nullifying that contract.
The extension, for our party, is absolutely illegal, has two reports against the Legal Council of the Region of Murcia, and that is why our group filed an appeal for annulment before the City Council that was not answered, forcing us to go to an administrative dispute in which we are currently immersed.
Complete audit of the service, with a budget and adequate resources, as our group has been demanding since the beginning of the term.
Requirement to the Government of this City Council that, as it is personified in the cause, undertake as many judicial actions as may be deemed opportune in defense of the general interest of the citizens of Cartagena.
We again request the Government, and as a matter of urgency, a meeting with them in compliance with the agreement of the 40 points of investiture of Ana Belén Castejón and the respective programs of MC and PSOE that contain, among other aspects, the annulment of the extension in question.
We demand from the Mayor of Cartagena absolute support for service cost reports prepared by the municipal technicians in view of the establishment of the new tariff: the water tariff is not negotiated with allegedly corrupt companies and qualified as an illicit association already in a car of July 28, 2015. The water tariff is simply calculated based on the reports of the municipal technicians, which represent the general interest and not that of a monopoly.
Immediate reinstatement of the former Director General of Infrastructure, Manuel Nicolás, who during these two years has proved to be an excellent professional and an honest person who has known how to defend the public interest and not give in to corporate pressures.
Conversion of the water in rate, precisely so that the expenses and income of the company appear in the municipal budget with maximum transparency.
