Continuing with the literary program of the poetic festival Deslinde, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, on Friday, November 10, at 8:30 p.m., the Magic Mountain Bookstore, on Pintor Balaca Street, will host the presentation of the book 'Twenty love films and a song by Jonh Lennon', by Carmen Piqueras.
The event, which will be attended by the writer, will be presented by the poet Juan de Dios García and the painter and writer Antonio Gómez Ribelles.
Incisive, sensual, evocative and sentimental, that's right, judging from the experts, Carmen Piqueras's latest book, 'Twenty love films and a song by John Lennon'.
A work that dialogues with the seventh art and plays with that collective memory.
His verses manage to introduce the reader to the world of art through his intimate and profound vision of poetry.
The mayor of Culture, David Martínez Noguera, said that "the book that Carmen Piqueras will present us refers to visual memory through images reinvented in verses.
A magnificent legacy of universal plots, but intimately told from the inner world of the writer.
In short, an evocative landscape that will make us rediscover the perfect combination of art and poetry ".
