This morning, the councilor of the area of ​​Sustainable Development, María José Soler;

the mayor of the Government, José López, and the general coordinator of Sustainable Development, Jesús Giménez, made a visit to the town of Mar de Cristal.

There, together with municipal technicians, they have reviewed the status of various initiatives, already in execution, in addition to addressing other actions to be carried out soon.

After the visit, Jesús Giménez remarked the object of the displacement, as "the supervision and monitoring of the contract of gardens, trees and palm trees and that is allowing the green areas of the Mar Menor of the municipality to be in a more than satisfactory state.

and that will be extended until December 31. "

In addition, the coordinator of the area of ​​Sustainable Development has remembered the complete performance that takes place in Solana street.

CONDITIONING OF GARDENS

Thus, in the framework of the contract that guarantees the maintenance service of gardens, trees and palms on the coast of Cartagena, improvement works are being carried out in green areas and trees on public roads.

Among the actions taken are those of cleaning;

scanning;

collection of remains;

pruning

clearing of trees and bushes;

fruit cleaning;

plantations;

repair wounds in trees, or application of authorized phytosanitary or insecticides.

The global scope of work, valued at more than 90,000 euros, reaches the localities of Los Urrutias;

The grandsons;

Lesser Islands;

Crystal Sea;

Honda Beach;

Paradise Beach;

Cala Flores;

Cabo de Palos and La Manga.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

Later, the councilors, accompanied by the municipal technicians, went to Solana Street, where a comprehensive action was planned.

First, they have supervised the dismantling of the fiber cement roof, municipally owned.

In this way, a neighborhood claim is fulfilled, advancing in a specialized job consisting of replacing the cover with vegetation, fulfilling the functions of shading.

NEW ASPHALT

On the same street there will be a significant improvement in asphalt, a measure included in the asphalt replacement project that will soon be released.

The initiative, integrated in the Plan of Sustainable Investments of the City Council 'Plan ISA', will allow an investment in the entire municipal area of ​​more than 500,000 euros.

The budget on Solana de Mar de Cristal Street will amount to almost 30,000 euros.
