The municipal minutes of the City of Cartagena, corresponding to the first half of the 19th century, can be consulted through the web page of the Municipal Archive of Cartagena, thanks to its digitalization carried out by the INTEGRA Regional Foundation, and which will be added to those already available through this same process of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
The act of delivery of the digitized files has taken place today in Murcia, where they have been present, by the regional administration, the general director of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications, the general director of Cultural Assets, as well as the address of the Archive Regional and Integra Foundation.
On the part of the City of Cartagena has been present the councilor of the area of Finance and Interior, Francisco Aznar Garca, on whom depends the Municipal Archive of Cartagena, accompanied by the coordinator of Archives and Libraries, Cayetano Tornel.
The digitization of these manuscript records is part of the CARMESÍ Project, of the INTEGRA Foundation, promoted by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, which pursues the digitalization of the ancient documents kept in the archives of the Region of Murcia, for its preservation and subsequent disclosure through the internet.
The event took place at the headquarters of the General Archive of the Region of Murcia.
