The themes of the Carte Noire jazz project, composed by Antonio Mateo, have the black novel and Cartagena as common elements.
Titles like 'Chipé Red Blues', 'Strangers in the FEVE' or 'Pésoles Labyrinth', recreate, with sense of humor, episodes from the black history of Cartagena or consecrated titles of the genre, but always with local flavor.
The result is an eclectic and fluid jazz played by musicians with creativity and experience.
The Carte Noire concert is programmed by the Cartagena Jazz Festival within its section of Off Jazz bars and rooms.
This project Cartagena will be able to see this Thursday, November 9, in Mr. Witt Coffee at 22:00 hours.
Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
Carte Noire Quintet is formed by order of appearance: Antonio Mateo on piano, Jaisiel Moliegnare on sax, Pedro Vazquez on drums, Antonio Peñalver on bass and Pablo León on trumpet.
