The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) today presented its Microsoft TechClub, a free community open to students and teachers to share projects and acquire complementary training.
The Tech Clup UPCT, an initiative of the Microsoft-Routes Chair that will be located on the ground floor of the ELDI building, will offer the university community the possibility of developing collaborative skills, access to scholarships, software and exclusive events, as well as technical training and preparation for professional certifications.
"We are already preparing training talks, teamwork tools and participation in the international Imagine Cup competition", explained the student of Telematics Ginés Molina, hired as a developer by Encamina after passing as a fellow by the Chair and coordinator of UPCT Tech Club (http://techclubupct.com), already open registrations.
"Participating in this community will give a vision of the future on the job and research opportunities generated by the new technological developments in the Cloud," said the vice-rector of ICT, Mathieu Kessler.
"We must seize these opportunities," said Juan Angel Pastor, director of the School of Telecommunications.
Before the presentation, the Chair has also held a '4Research' technical session on Azure and 'Big-Data' and 'Machine learning' technologies, aimed at researchers, professors and graduate students.
