The section 'Invited Regional Writer of the Mandarache Prize 2018' already has protagonist.
This is the poetess from Murcia Carmen Piqueras, author of 'Twenty love films and a song by John Lennon'.
This book of poems published recently by the Raspabook Murcia publishing house will be read, out of competition, in the participating institutes of the project, which will have thirty copies on loan through the school libraries of the centers that request them.
The purpose of this section of the 'Mandarache Project' is to spread contemporary literary creation of the region among secondary school students, mainly poetry, in order to complement the commitment to the narrative of the 'Mandarache and Hache Awards'.
The selection of the writer each year falls, as it happens with the selection of the official finalists, in the Group Promoter of the project formed by dozens of professionals of the world of the book and the education.
'Twenty love films and a song by John Lennon' is Carmen Piqueras' third collection of poems, after the publication of 'Oficios de derrota' (with which she won the First Prize of Poetry Dionisia García) and 'Nación del sueño' (Raspabook , 2014).
Piqueras has collaborated with several newspapers publishing weekly articles and in several cultural and literary magazines such as Hache and in anthologies such as 'Tributo a Serrat'.
In her latest book, she alludes to visual memory through images of films reinvented in verse: "a magnificent legacy of universal plots, but intimately told from the inner world of the author".
