The third phase of participatory budgets reaches its equator.
In this phase the prioritization of the presented proposals is being debated.
The Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy hosted yesterday, Tuesday, November 4, the fourth meeting to discuss the possible projects included in the Participatory Budgets of the City of Cartagena, in which the residents of San Antonio Abad and Casco Antiguo could leave their preferences clear.
The meeting was attended by a representative of the municipal government, headed by the councilor of the area of ​​Citizen Participation and Good Government, Juan Pedro Torralba, together with the mayor of Sustainable Development and Transparency, María José Soler.
"We are very happy with the interest that the residents of the municipality are showing in this new edition.
We hope that in the voting phase, which begins next Monday, November 13, many more votes will be registered than in the last edition and the projects we obtain will be the result of a great participation ", explained Torralba.
In the course of the Assembly, close to a hundred participating neighbors made clear their priorities over 68 projects, of which 52 were finally voted.
Those who obtained the best qualification were, in order, the request of a municipal seat for the Cartagonova Music Union (58 votes);
the request for a defibrillator (18 votes);
infrastructures down to the medical center of La Concepción neighborhood (12 votes);
the improvement of the facilities of the lounge of the neighborhood association of La Concepción neighborhood (12 votes);
and the improvement of reduced mobility for access to Torres Park by the Cuesta de la Baronesa (11 votes).
The assemblies, which are being developed by the seven districts of the municipality, will continue until Friday, November 10.
The City Council has arranged for this district a budget of 518,532 euros of the total program of 2 million euros distributed by the 7 districts that has the municipal area distributed as follows:
District 1 that integrates Canteras, Perín, Campo Nubla and La Magdalena.
