The Teatro Circo Apolo of El Algar, which has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, will go on stage on December 1, at 9.30 pm, the play 'Iberian Gangster', where Southern Productions puts lyrics and music to Political corruption.
IBERIAN GANGSTERS
A mature politician, former minister, fond of singing, is about to be judged with a high probability of going to prison.
From its beginnings in the communist party, passing through socialism until reaching the conservative right, forty years have passed.
Forty years shared with his wife, high position in various instances of cultural policy, and with his daughter Amanda, fervent admirer, militant and young promise in the party.
Through the investigation that Amanda is forced to perform together with her lover and future secretary of organization, we attend her father's trip from the public service to the self-service, so to speak.
But also to the journey that Amanda undertakes from the fierce condemnation of political corruption until ... How far?
Based on data from a real story, recent and resounding, but with all the freedom of fable and satire that the theater has always had, Iberian Gangster exploits this cocktail of love, politics, idealism, ambition and music to set up a disturbing thriller, credible, close and full of humor: a true Spanish Musical Gangster's Story.
A story capable of engaging the viewer and not let go until the end.
To put it in the inner journey of the protagonist and his family.
A journey made without losing composure or the ability to justify himself and his family.
An exciting journey, and yet so human and so close that the spectator, without stopping laughing -and even singing-, can ask himself: surely I would not do the same?
