CTSSP visited the town of Canteras with the representatives of the AAVV, where it has been able to check and know the demands of the neighbors on site.
The most regrettable was to note that the so-called park of the Rambla is in a state of absolute neglect;
It is so degraded that it is dangerous in some areas.
It is a park built only 8 years ago, and its maintenance depends on the City Council.
- "We find ourselves in front of numerous banks that have been destroyed, fences broken, without cleanings in the drains that are full of vegetation and in a complete state of abandonment, it is a park that could potentially be a beautiful natural environment or greenway to use by children and adults, athletes, etc., says Pilar Marcos.
Another complaint that the neighbors transferred to the Municipal Group was the problem of traffic next to the town school where large traffic jams are formed every day, and the creation of a football field, a petition that has been ongoing for 15 years.
There was also a tour of the entire surrounding rural area, where we saw impracticable roads, without signaling, full of caverns, garbage, lack of lighting.
Specifically, the road to Casas Nuevas- Los Diaz, the path to Los Corteses, Collado Mochunos and the cemetery road are the most affected roads, and on some occasions the neighbors fix the road and put cement to get to their homes.
