Cartagena prays for future blesseds
Last Friday, November 3, the Basilica of Our Lady of Charity in Cartagena hosted a prayer vigil on the occasion of the next beatification.
During the vigil, the choir of the Charity interpreted musical works composed by D. José Sánchez Medina, one the martyrs of this cause, of Archena, who was organist of the Charity and composer of the Salve Cartagenera.
Before giving the blessing, Abellán said a few words in which he indicated that being a martyr is being faithful to Jesus Christ until he gives his life.
"We have examples of infinite mercy.
The testimony of the martyrs shows that hate is answered with forgiveness. "
The vicar said that "it is time for the Church to recognize the heroism of the Vincentian family."
He concluded his words by encouraging those present to hold themselves in the arms of Jesus and in Mary's heart
