The Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, received today Friday Ana Blandiana, key figure of Romanian and European literature as the most international current poet of Romania.
She is the author of fourteen books of poetry, two volumes of fantastic stories, nine of essays and a novel, as well as being an outstanding political personality in her country
In his meeting, Castejón has given him as a gift two books by Cartagena writers, one by Carmen Conde and the other by Antonio Oliver.
The presence of the poet is due to his intervention in the poetic festival Deslinde.
Today Friday, November 3, Blandiana will give a recital in which she will be accompanied by her Spanish translators, Viorica Patea (Professor at the University of Salamanca) and Natalia Carbajosa (PhD in literature and poet).
It will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Ceremonial Hall of the Town Hall, with free admission.
Saturday morning will take place the second act, which is entitled "Café Conversos" and which consists of a meeting of Ana Blandiana with 21 young poets.
In this case, it is a closed act to be held at 11:00 am, at the Museum of Modern Art (MURAM, Plaza de la Merced, 15).
