This Monday, November 6, is the day chosen by the poetic festival Deslinde to honor one of the great poets that has given the region, the nonagenario Francisco Sánchez Bautista, winner, among other prizes, of the second edition of the Poetry Prize Antonio Oliver Belmás, in 1987, thirty years ago, with his work "Alto acompañamiento".

The act of homage will be held at 7:00 pm, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Town Hall, with free admission.

Presented by journalist Pedro Soler, they will intervene, accompanying Sánchez Bautista, Ángel Paniagua, Mª Teresa Cervantes, Aurora Saura, Juana J. Marín Saura, Santiago Delgado, José Luis Martínez Valero, Soren Peñalver, José Antonio Martínez Muñoz, Antonio Marín Albalate.

In addition, the event will also include the participation of musician Javier Albarracín to the viola, with a program that includes various Bach pieces (Suite No. 3 in C Major, Prelude, Allemande, Sarabande, Gavotte I and II)

Francisco Sánchez Bautista (1925) has been and will be an example and a reference for the new generations of Levantine poets.

Depositary almost secretly of the essences of previous generations has managed to preserve and carry, through very dark and difficult years of Spain, "the guitar" inherited from those masters to the current poets, who sometimes ignore that debt.

A large group of poets, united by the common appreciation and respect for his figure, will meet to pay him a loving tribute that does not aspire to be definitive or sufficient, but fair and sincere.

Many praises can be cited for the work of the poet of Llano de Brujas, and Adoptive Son of Fortuna, but perhaps it will now be used by Miguel Espinosa in the presentation of the 'Poetry Work' by Sánchez Bautista (Editora Regional, Murcia, 1982):

Sánchez Bautista "fulfills the requirement of - I say this, slightly, but it is very important and is fundamental to his poetry - to be between the mystical and the magical of language.

His language is magical enough to be spirit, mystical enough to be soul, to be mystery, to be ontology, because, gentlemen, a list of beautiful words attracts us a lot, but it is simply the magic.

While in poetry should be, next to the list of words, that mystery of the blank spaces, which is what attracts us ».
