For the next expansion of the 4G mobile network service in Cartagena and Comarca, the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda informs about the possible appearance of interference with the digital terrestrial television signal of some homes.
That is why there is a CAU User Service Center so that citizens affected by this problem can request the necessary actions to eliminate reception problems at no cost.
Llega800 is the managing entity in charge of offering the services that will guarantee the compatibility between the start-up of the 4G emission in the 800 MHz band and the reception of the DTT service.
The entity will send letters to those households potentially affected by these interferences, which should contact the CAU at 900 833 999 or at the website llega800.es.
In most cases, the action will consist simply in the installation of a filter in the television antenna that avoids this problem, free of charge.
In addition to the previous actions, in some cases, television reception may be affected once the broadcasts have begun.
In this case, citizens may also request during a period of 6 months to the CAU, that the technical actions necessary to guarantee the reception of the television service be carried out.
These actions will also be free for users.
4G TECHNOLOGY
The 4G technology, borrowed on the frequency band of 800 Mhz, previously used by Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), allows to offer the best features on this technology, offering the best indoor coverage and the widest possible coverage.
These 4G networks, on this new band of frequencies, arrive to improve the speed of internet connection, TV services on demand, music downloads, as well as dozens of new services that will be released in the coming years to take advantage of the wide width 4G technology bandwidth, allowing speeds of up to 150Mbps, speeds that in many cases exceed those we currently enjoy in our homes with fixed lines ADSL.
