On Wednesday, November 1, the festival of All Saints is celebrated and, as is tradition, in Cartagena a series of municipal services are reinforced, such as the bus lines that connect with the graveyards, the regulation of traffic at the entrances to the same, in charge of the local Police, or the installation of a Flower Market in the Paseo Alfonso XIII, all with the purpose of facilitating the access to the cemeteries and that the Cartagena people can remember their deceased.
LOCAL POLICE DEVICE
The Local Police will reinforce the surveillance of the traffic in the accesses to the cemeteries of the municipality from this Tuesday, October 31 and until Wednesday, the 1st, a public holiday, maintaining a device that will guarantee road safety in said accesses.
In this way, control and regulation of traffic will be carried out at the entrances to the cemeteries of Santa Lucia, San Antón, Canteras, Alumbres, Perín, Tallante, Los Puertos, San Isidro / La Magdalena, La Aljorra, Pozo Estrecho , La Palma, El Algar, San Ginés de la Jara and Los Belones.
FLOWERS MARKET
On the occasion of the feast of All Saints there is another tradition that continues, the Flower Market, which will be in operation from Monday, October 30 until Wednesday, November 1, both inclusive.
It is made up of a score of flower stalls located in the Paseo Alfonso XIII, specifically on the side of the Jiménez de la Espada Institute, in addition to the one traditionally located in the Plaza Antonio Asensio in El Algar.
The opening hours to the public will be, from 8.00 to 20.00 hours, on October 30 and 31, and from 8.00 to 14.00 hours, on November 1.
BUSES TO THE CEMETERIES
The urban transport service will be reinforced on All Saints' Day, specifically on the bus lines that reach the municipal cemeteries, to facilitate the access of citizens to them, which intensifies in these days.
In this way, on Wednesday, day 1, the working day service will be maintained on line 5, which links the cemeteries of San Antón and Lo Campano, with buses every 15 minutes from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and, a From this time, the service will be like a holiday, every 30 minutes.
This same time will be the urban line number 7, which runs through the vicinity of the cemetery of San Antonio Abad.
The visit time to the cemeteries will be the usual, although it will be more flexible according to the needs of the visitors.)
VISIT OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
At 11 o'clock on Wednesday morning will begin the day of events in which will participate a representation of the municipal corporation headed by the councilor of the Area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón.
It will be in the cemetery of Santa Lucia, where the delegation will attend a mass, followed by a response.
Later and as a complement to the previous visit, the municipal representatives will go to the cemetery of San Antón, where, around 12.30, they will make an offering of flowers.
Finally, visit the graveyards of Alumbres and San Ginés de la Jara.
