Among the more than 500 entries received to participate in the FICC46, 28 short films have finally been selected: 14 in the Official Section (national and foreign shorts) and 14 in MurCine (short films by filmmakers from the Region of Murcia).
The selected short films will be screened during the week of the festival, which will take place from November 26 to December 2.
The short films of the Official Selection will compete for the 3,000 euros with which the Best Short Film is awarded and, in addition, there will be recognitions for the Best Direction, Photography, Screenplay and Interpretation.
On the other hand, in the MurCine section, the first prize 'Carabela de Plata City of Cartagena' is endowed with 1,500 euros, while the second, the 'Submarino Peral', is with 500 euros.
The FICC46 jury will be composed of:
Alberto Bermejo, editor and director of 'Days of Cinema'.
Alberto Sáez Villarino, film critic in 'El antepenúltimo mohicano'.
Rocío Abellán, doctor in History of Art from the University of Murcia.
Luis López Carrasco, director, producer and screenwriter.
Lucía Tello Díaz, journalist, film critic, professor and doctor in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid.
