Alonso Gomez Lopez, General Director of Sports of Murcia, took advantage of some days of promotion of Sport in Women, to make a visit on Saturday October 21 to training UCAM Athletics Cartagena where he spent practically all morning watching and talking with the technical director Patricia Paz, with the head of Cadetes Toñi López, with the head of fund and midfielder Gabi Lorente and with the new jumps coach Carles Triado.
In addition to greet the captains of the team Blanca Peñuelas and Vicente Guardiola.
Finally he was talking with the President of the Juan Alfonso García club about the 2017/2018 season and giving information on the operation, structure and future lines for the development of athletics of the triennial and therefore of the Region.
The UCAM Athletics Cartagena is the only team in the Region of Murcia in the National Division and has participated in all categories in national clubs, since it was promoted to 1st Division in June 2002.
Juan Alfonso, informed of the concern within the club to maintain the category another year before teams that double the budget of the university club.
Finally I made a request to study an improvement of the installation of the Athletics Track of the Ensanche, being in a unique location for the practice of this sport of schools and different groups of the city, it is also the Murcia facility that hosts more Events and National Championships, that produce pernotations and income to the city on a small scale, being able to aspire to more.
