This weekend, 28 and 29 October, will give the XXV edition of the Regional League of Base Football started.
A total of 202 teams of 43 clubs and about 4000 participants between players (4 to 16 years), technicians and referees, are launched "in the denominated for this season 'local league' due to the registration of teams from neighboring municipalities of the Region of Cartagena, "explained the Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, who has appeared along with the coordinator of Sports Activities of the City of Cartagena, Eduardo Armada.
The start of the season kick-off will be made on the La Union football field, and will take place at 11:45 am on Saturday, October 28, with the presentation of the commemorative banner and the company teams, authorities and members of the organization.
Clubs of Los Alcazares, La Union, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Fuente Álamo, Torre Pacheco and Murcia, will be part of this competition, which have already been regulars for several seasons.
The coordinator of Sports Activities has wanted to make a brief review of the evolution of the Base Football League, which throughout its history has processed close to 100,000 licenses and in which have been disputed more than 50,000 matches.
It has highlighted its positive growth, both in the number of categories, from the bottle category to the cadet category, as well as in the use of digital media and arbitration by professional colleges.
He has also emphasized the formative work of this championship, in which the lower categories are not competitive, and which allows the participation of any child, whatever his physical capacity, at zero cost thanks to the subsidies.
COLLABORATION OF VARIOUS ACTORS
The Council of Sports is based on the agreement established with the federation of soccer of the Region to integrate in its management the digital support that allows all the documentation generated in the competition can be made and be seen through the mobile phone, the tablet or the computer.
The agreement also serves to improve health care for clubs and the equipment of all camps with defibrillators in their facilities.
Another fundamental support is provided by the committee and competition judge, to ensure technical and legal advice that facilitates the proper development of the championship with the federated referees who run the matches of football 5, football 7 and football 8, with different sizes of ball and playing fields.
Segado has informed that the City Council will continue to subsidize this season the registrations, licenses, arbitration and insurance, in collaboration with the football federation, autonomous community, arbitration delegation of cartagena, foundation of FC Cartagena and COLEF of the region of murcia.
The general direction of sports also lends its collaboration, since the championship is framed in the regional program of sport of school age.
XXV ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
To commemorate this 25th anniversary, a program of performances will be developed, such as the elaboration of a commemorative logo, the incorporation of new sponsors, sound castellini, collados sports, jimbo fresh, with special mention to the group relesa galvame, which was the official sponsor of the league in its beginnings.
On the occasion of the International Children's Day, on Saturday 18 November, a special day will be held in collaboration with UNICEF.
A new campaign to promote fair play and sportsmanship will also be launched, with the motto "Respect wins", where family members will have a special role.
Other activities that will be developed throughout the season, and that will be detailed as they approach their dates of implementation, are the 'Days of health and nutrition in sport', with distribution of fruits in each football field in charge of jimbo fresh during the cup tournament;
invitation to a match of FC Cartagena, the organization of talks-training conferences directed to coaches and leaders in collaboration with the federation of football and universities, historical meeting with managers, coaches, players and referees of the championship with a sample of photographs and memories of the championship, and special programs with the media with rotation of interviews to each club participating in the championship.
Regarding the competition, the councilman recalled that the championship is "nationally referent", and has been "praised by many institutions", developing an activity parallel to the federated competition, where they have a place from the bottle category to the cadet, all the clubs of smaller social nature, with a marked pedagogical treatment of the competition through the school sport and where also it is promoted a female category from seasons ago.
