This Friday, October 27th, within the FICCMOTECA program, the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center will screen two films: The Half-Length Film 'Day by Day' and 'The Dark Side of the Heart'.
DAY TO DAY
At 19:00, in the auditorium, you can see the first of the medium-length film 'Day to Day' (Spain 2017) plus the Making Off.
Directed by the student of cartagenero journalism, Enrique Ros, who is also author of the script and music, and with the photography of Pablo Madrid.
Enrique Ros, who is blind, wanted to release 'Day to Day' in his city.
The medium length film narrates the story of twins who live with their mother after the father disregarded them at birth.
The son confesses to the mother his homosexuality and, after an argument, they go away to celebrate a birthday.
On the way back, they hitchhike and are kidnapped.
THE DARK SIDE OF THE HEART
At 20:00 the film 'The dark side of the heart', a mythical Argentine film directed by Eliseo Subiela, died in December 2016 will be screened. Twenty-four years after its release, it returns to the screens in a digitalised version in 4K, thanks to the initiative, 'Recuperar', promoted by Argentinean Associate Directors and that ensures the preservation of the Argentinean cinematographic heritage.
The film, (in an attempt of cinema - poetry), brings us the story of Oliverio, a poet incarnated by actor Darío Grandinetti, who survives by publishing commercial poetry while touring Buenos Aires, with the only desire to find the woman of his dreams.
In Montevideo he meets Ana, a prostitute whom he falls in love with.
The film is included in the program of the poetic festival 'Deslinde 2017', with which this festival of poetry begins in Cartagena.
In the film, poetry plays a fundamental role: the protagonist is a poet without work wandering the streets while he reveals verses by Oliverio Girondo, Mario Benedetti and Juan Gelman.
Benedetti makes a cameo in the film.
All projections are in the auditorium of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center and are free until the capacity is completed.
