The rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Alejandro Díaz Morcillo and the director general of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality, María de la Esperanza Moreno Reventós have collected in the Hall of Technology for Teaching, organized by IFEMA in Madrid , the SIMO Award for Educational Innovation in the category Best Digital Resource of Own Creation for the development and implementation of the 'Rétame y Aprendo' educational program.
This program has been selected from 329 proposals received.
The UPCT, through its Digital Content Production Center, developed in 2016 UPCTplay, a gamification platform that allows the creation of interoperable activities in an autonomous way.
It was in that same year when the Regional Ministry of Education called the educational program 'Rétame y Aprendo', which it organized together with the Cartagena Polytechnic.
In this program participated 57 educational centers and about 4,000 young people of the Region of 3 ° and 4 ° of ESO and 1 ° and 2 ° of Bachiller.
The competition was carried out in three phases in which young people had to answer questions from different subjects such as Language and Literature, History, Physical Education and English as compulsory subjects and Physics and Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Technology, Economics, French, Geography , Classical Culture and Philosophy and Ethical Values ​​as optional.
In the first phase of the contest, about 23,000 games were registered in the final held at the UPCT, which was attended by half a thousand people.
