The cycle 'Read, think, imagine', organized by the Department of Culture will count tomorrow, on the 25th, with the participation of the writer and writer Marina Mayoral, who will come to present his latest book entitled 'Remember, body'.
The book evokes the desire, through fifteen stories narrated mostly by female voices, which have as common denominator characters that show passion, sensuality and tenderness in their multiple representations.
The event will take place at eight in the afternoon at the Josefina Soria Library of the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy and will be coordinated by the writer Natalia Carbajosa.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez Noguera, recalled that "this is one of the 48 cultural proposals that have been included in this cycle and I invite the Cartagena to participate because their quality and variety will not leave anyone indifferent ".
Marina Mayoral's studies on feminine literature (Rosalía de Castro, Emilia Pardo Bazán, and Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda among others) stand out, as well as her analyzes of literary creation.
Several of her works have been translated into six languages, revealing the importance of this writer who, according to critics, with 'Recuerda, cuerpo' has reached one of her best narrative moments.
Born in Lugo 75 years ago, she collaborates weekly in the newspaper La Voz de Galicia.
Mayoral was professor of Spanish Literature at the Complutense University of Madrid and his stories are in the best anthologies in Spanish, English and German.
Numerous literary and journalism prizes - Ramón Sijé, San Clemente, Fernández Latorre - endorse his trajectory, which has earned him that same year he was elected Academic of honor of the Real Academia Gallega.
Among his novels and stories are: 'Candida, again', 'Plant a tree', 'The only freedom', 'Jedina wolnost', 'Against death and love', 'Almost perfect', ' Dear friend'.
