The Russian National Ballet of the prestigious Sergei Radchenko, legendary soloist of the Bolshoi Theater who was a dance partner for over 20 years of Maya Plisétskaya, returns to Cartagena to the El Batel Auditorium with 'La bella durmiente', a piece in which the score of Tchaikovsky, the choreography of Marius Petipa and the story of Charles Perrault are set in a magical set.
The Municipal Auditorium will thus host this Wednesday, October 25, in a single function, at 21.00 hours, to one of the most spectacular and representative ballets of the classical repertoire.
There are localities at 30, 25 and 18 euros.
With Tchaikovsky Music and Marius Petipa choreography, 'Sleeping Beauty' is one of the most famous ballets of the classic repertoire, based on the story by Charles Perrault.
His argument: on the day of the baptism of Princess Aurora, the evil fairy Carabosse, angry because he has not been invited to the event, gives the princess a spindle and announces that he will prick himself and die.
The Lilac Fairy, who still has to offer her gift, promises that Aurora will not die, but will fall into a deep sleep that will awaken with a kiss of love ... A great ballet for a great love story.
The Russian National Ballet was founded in 1989, when the soloist of the Moscow Bolshoi Theater and Honorary Artist of the USSR since 1976, Sergei Radchenko tries to realize his vision of a company that brought together the most classic elements of the great ballet companies Kirov and Bolshoi in a new independent company, within the framework of Russian classical ballet.
Thus, great dancers from all Russia forged under the direction of Radchenko an exciting company, staging new productions of timeless classics such as 'Swan Lake' or 'Sleeping Beauty'.
