The Councilor for Education of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, has appeared to present today, all the details of the new school theater campaign.

The mayor has been accompanied by the head of institutional relations of the Territorial Directorate of Cajamar, José Antonio Chumillas.

The council has highlighted the great success of participation in theatrical performances, which are interested almost all schools in the city (last year 59 schools attended a representation).

Martínez has stated that "they will continue betting on this project, expanding the budget to increase each year the quality of the representations".

For his part, José Antonio Chumillas said that "Cajamar's goal is to contribute to projects such as solidarity, generosity, tolerance or effort among children and young people."

In addition, all the plays, which have been selected, are designed so that the students can participate actively, not only as a public, but as direct participants in the theatrical phenomenon.

For this, the attendance to each one of the representations includes didactic materials that are sent to the educational centers so that the teachers can work them with their students previously.

Of the programming of this course the works have been emphasized: 'The cat and the swallow', whose theme will show the children the importance of accepting the others as they are;

or the children's adaptation of 'The Lake of the Swans'.

The works in English have also increased, being this year six, two more than in the last year.

Some of which will be represented are: 'Excalibur', 'The wild', wild wes andSleeping Beauty '.

Other works of the program will coincide with notable days and will affect the theme of the day that is commemorated.

This is the case of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the Down Syndrome Day, when "Witches' Tale" will be performed.

Or the day of the book in which the work will be represented will be 'The Place where Words Live'.
