This morning, the acting mayor, Juan Pedro Torralba, and the Finance Councilor, Isabel García, participated in a new meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the Participatory Budgets of this year.
The meeting took place in the administrative building of San Miguel.
The participants have agreed the calendar of assemblies that will be organized with the neighborhood collective of the municipality.
That selection will finally pass the filter of the technical criterion to determine its definitive inclusion before the beginning of the voting period.
This is one of the novelties introduced in the Second Participative Budgets of the City Council.
The initiative promoted by the municipal government to give voice and vote to the Cartagena in defining the priority objectives to be implemented.
In addition, it should be recalled that, for the current year, the amount allocated (up to two million) has been increased, in addition to strengthening information and publicity campaigns to try to increase neighborhood participation.
In any case, the evaluation of at least one proposal per district will be guaranteed.
At the end of the period, all proposals, both approved and rejected, will be published with their corresponding reports and evaluations.
ASSEMBLY CALENDAR
The proposal prioritization phase will take place from 2 to 10 November.
Thus, a provisional schedule of assemblies has been fixed in the different districts, which will begin at 20:00 hours.
However, the agenda is subject to possible modifications due to availability of premises.

COLLECTION OF NEIGHBORING CONTRIBUTIONS
Until October 29, the process of collecting neighborhood proposals will continue.
For this purpose different channels are enabled;
the web of Participatory Budgeting;
the municipal registry offices, and the OMITAS network.
