The Department of Decentralization, headed by the acting mayor, Juan Pedro Torralba, plans to invest 18,000 euros to install and improve the urban furniture of neighborhoods that lack neighborhood council.
"This investment, which will materialize in the coming weeks, responds to a series of petitions that we have been receiving throughout this year and that the neighbors themselves have sent me during the visits and meetings that I have had with their representatives" , indicated Torralba.
In this way, in Santa Lucia, Lo Campano, San Antón, and the neighborhoods José María Lapuerta and Virgen de la Caridad will have new tables and chairs in their social premises.
In particular, in Saint Lucia and Lo Campano, 18 tables and 40 chairs respectively will be placed;
in San Antón, 5 tables and 20 chairs;
Virgen de la Caridad will have 16 tables and 68 chairs and José María Lapuerta, 5 tables and 20 chairs.
In addition, in La Vaguada, Barrio Cuatro Santos, Canteras, Nueva Cartagena and Santa Ana will be installed ping pong tables for children and adults to enjoy this sport outdoors.
The local representatives of Los Urrutias and the neighborhood Villalba have expressed the need to have more banks on the promenade and parks so that, within a few weeks, will be placed 4 banks in Los Urrutias and 6 in Villalba.
