the projection of the film 'Light for the World' |
On the occasion of the commemoration of the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá'u'lláh, the association 'Young Baha'is for Unity in Diversity' will screen the film about his life and work entitled 'Light for the World'.
The film will be released worldwide on October 21.
In Cartagena he will do it in the Cultural Hall of the CAM Foundation of Cartagena (Calle Mayor) from 19 h.
Access will be free until the capacity is completed.
Inspired by the life and teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, millions of people from virtually all religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds around the world will celebrate the bicentennial between 21 and 22 October 2017.
In continuation with the programmed activities, on Sunday, October 22 at 6 pm, the celebration at the Bahá'í Center, next to the IES El Bohío, will continue through the use of the arts (painting, music, etc).
His vision of humanity as a single people and of the earth as a common homeland, which was rejected without attention by the leaders of the world more than a hundred years ago, has now become the center of convergence of human hope.
Bahá'ís, along with their friends and other like-minded organizations, are trying to create and strengthen communities that bear the seed of a new type of society based on cooperation and reciprocity.
In these processes the education and spiritual, moral and intellectual empowerment of children, adolescents, youth and adults who wish to contribute to the improvement of society take on a very important role.
They share the common goal of serving humanity and perfecting their inner lives in accordance with the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh.
The community to which they belong is a community of learning and action, free from any feeling of superiority or claim to an exclusive understanding of the truth.
It is a community that strives to cultivate hope for the future of humankind, to foster effort with purpose, and to celebrate the efforts of all those around the world who work to promote unity and alleviate human suffering
