Cristóbal Aguiló received this Wednesday the prize that credits him like winner of the contest of the poster announcer of the XVI edition of Cross of Artillery.
The Colonel of the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment No. 73, Enrique Silvela, presided over the ceremony, which was held at the Military Government, and also attended by the Councilor for Sports of the City of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado.
There, this year's poster designer has received from the hands of Colonel Enrique Silvela the award, whose trophy emulates a soldier of the period of the division itself and who is also endowed with 300 euros.
After this, the entourage of the event has been directed to the Town Hall Square, where several canvases have been placed announcing the event, which this year will be held on November 19 from 10:30 hours, and which include the cartel itself as well as information on the route of the same, among other issues.
The XVI Cross of Artillery counts on several tests like the Quarter of Mile, the Mile, the Canicross (in which one can participate accompanied of the mascots), the Urban Cross and, the star, the Race of the Lighthouse, that arrives until the Christmas lighthouse.
Entries can be formalized through the website enabled for this purpose until November 10 and the cost of the same will range between 5 and 14 euros depending on the race in which you want to participate and the category of each athlete, ranging from Prebenjamín to Veterans D.

The colonel of the Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment No. 73, Enrique Silvela, has indicated about the poster chosen this year that what he liked "especially" of the same, on a personal level, was the figure of a soldier of the regiment era made of plasticine and converted into drawing, something that "draws attention" along with the bomb, which is the emblem of the Regiment.
Also, Silvela has commented that the event is already about 2,700 registered and is approaching at a good pace to 3,000, so he expects that on November 19 it will be a "festive day, like every year" and highlighted " healthy life and sportsman that the military spirit drives "and in which, he assured, they feel" all portrayed "from the organization.
The mayor of Sports, Ricardo Segado, for his part, has praised the work chosen to announce the edition of this 2017 and has described it as "a spectacular poster" with respect to which has highlighted the presence of Christmas Lighthouse in the background, with the Mediterranean Sea that bathes the Port of Cartagena.
"From the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena is a real pride to be able to collaborate with the military," said Segado, who has emphasized the "tranquility" that conveys the perfect organization of events in which the Army is involved in the port city.
For Cristóbal Aguiló it has been "a pride and a pleasure to win the contest" and that his poster is the image of this XVI edition of Cross of Artillery.
"I enjoyed quite a lot doing it," he said while pointing out that to make the design of the same wanted mainly "to give impact" to the icon of the event, the bomb.
The winner of this year's poster contest was born in Bromley Kent (UK) in 1968 but has been living in Cartagena for some time.
Aguiló is an illustrator, graphic designer and creative and has been widely awarded with 69 first prizes and several seconds and third places.
In Cartagena has already been victorious of other contests and they are his the posters of the Carnival of 2011 and 2014 and the one of Carthagineses and Romans of the past 2016.
