With the aim that attendees become more aware of their own philosophy of life and can integrate a more mature, lucid and creative vision of themselves, they will be given at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center a series of philosophy workshops for adults , framed within the cycle Cartagena It thinks that will be held four consecutive Thursday.
The cycle begins with the workshop 'We all have a philosophy of life' to be given on Thursday, October 19th at 7:30 pm in classroom 2 of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
Its organizers maintain that "our way of life is mobilized by beliefs and values ​​that sometimes are not aware and go unnoticed, limiting our life and generating much avoidable suffering."
It is an activity of self-knowledge through philosophical dialogue where classical themes and authors of Philosophy are introduced.
The workshop will show us how in stoic thinking we will find some keys to contact with our own philosophy of life, to clarify many habitual confusions and to discover a radical freedom that depends on us.
EDUCATIONAL INTENTION
As noted by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez Noguera, "the educational purpose of adult philosophy workshops is to provide a public space to address fundamental questions about existence, as well as to invite participants to express and clarify what values ​​and beliefs mobilize his life. "
To do this, they will show and analyze relevant ideas of classical authors of philosophy in relation to self-knowledge and recover the character of group exercise, dialogued, alive and transforming philosophy.
The second workshop, titled 'Socrates and the Return of Philosophy', will be held on Thursday 26 October.
In addition, the workshop 'Nietsche and the stages of life', scheduled for November 2, and 'El lugar del poder', scheduled for the 9th of that month, have been scheduled.
