The conference room of the Artillery Park has been the scene of the presentation of the lines of work that are intended to be implemented with the future collaboration protocol between the Employment and Training Service (SEF), the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) and local corporations, to improve the labor insertion of people in situations of social exclusion.
To begin this working day, which has been developed throughout the morning, Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín, the Director of Family and Social Policies, Miriam Pérez, and the Deputy Director of Employment of the SEF, María Ángeles Rodríguez, have briefly introduced the project.
A day that coincided with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, and which has counted in the patio of seats with the presence of members of the different social entities that collaborate in this project in Cartagena (Columbares, Accem, Fundación Sierra Minera , Caritas, Red Cross, Alraso, Fundación Asilo San Pedro, Proyecto Abraham, Rascasa and La Huertica), municipal bodies such as Youth Guarantee and ADLE, as well as municipal social services and youth technicians from the City Council of Cartagena and La Unión.
The future protocol, which seeks the maximum consensus and knowledge of all the participating parties, aims to implement a coordinated and networked work between Social Services, social agents and local and regional Employment Services.
A network that is already betting from the City of Cartagena, "whose objective is the socio-labor insertion of citizens who have more difficulties due to their situation of risk or social exclusion," recalled the councilor.
In the presentation of these conclusions of different working groups, third of the eight that will be carried out in different municipalities of the Region, we have tried to make known the proposal, to analyze how to start it and to work in a coordinated way for the benefit of the citizens.
The City Council of Cartagena has been betting for some time on the full implementation of this protocol, which involves: the accreditation of the social situation, the assessment of employability and the implementation of projects that are considered more suitable for the person.
All this from a coordinated work between public and private agents for the integral care of these people.
The tools that are sought to implement with this protocol have already been internally transferred to the professionals of the City Council of Cartagena, both Social Services as Youth and ADLE, which has also given informative sessions.
That is why Martín del Amor has encouraged all those present, invited from the Council, to join in this task in favor of the collective work of different entities and institutions.
"There is no other way of doing things than transversality and cooperation between social administrations, because in the end there is a great beneficiary, the citizen, which is the fundamental object of our work," he insisted.
The Protocol to improve the labor insertion of people in situations of social exclusion is based in many aspects on the Protocol for the labor insertion of women victims of gender violence, recently awarded by the Regiostars awards presented annually by the Union The European Union to recognize the most innovative and inspiring regional projects in Europe financed by EU cohesion policy funds.
