The Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena, whose patronage is integrated by the Autonomous Community, the City of Cartagena and the Cajamurcia Foundation, celebrates different parallel activities around the exhibition 'Heryca.

The visits, demonstrations, conferences and workshops of painting and engraving have been programmed together with the own collective of artists of the Region and the Federation of Troops and Legions of the Parties of Carthagineses and Romans.
They will take place from this weekend until next November 3, two days before the show closes.
The director general of Cultural Property and member of the board, Juan Antonio Lorca, recalled that "there are numerous activities and workshops that are always organized in museums whose management is involved the Ministry of Culture and with which it is intended to attract a new public to the halls and, above all, to bring culture and art to children and young people. "
"Museums are open and lively spaces where not only exhibitions are organized, but also all kinds of initiatives related to culture and aimed at involving society as a whole," he said.
Visits and workshops
Free guided tours will start tomorrow, October 15 (12:00 hours), by the artist and curator of the exhibition, Javier Lorente.
They will be repeated on Sunday 22nd and 29th October at the same time, starting in the hall of the Palace Hall, where part of the collection is exhibited, and continuing through the Roman Theater Museum.
In addition to these tours, there will be various painting and engraving workshops that begin today (11:30 am) at the Consistorial Palace with the children's activity 'Draw the story is fun', 8 to 12 years), with Marcos Amorós and collaboration of Juana Nieto Carrascosa.
On Saturday 21 (11:30 hours), Álvaro Peña, Torregar, Pérez Casanova, Jorge García Aznar and Javier Lorente will perform a live painting demonstration at the Museo del Teatro Romano.
The next week, Saturday 28 (12:00 hours) will take place the painting workshop 'The Sea of ​​Flowers', with Piedad Martínez Torres, also aimed at children between 8 and 12 years.
The week will be completed with an activity in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, on Sunday 29 at 11:00 p.m.
Under the name of 'Take your vintage engraving', Antonio Vidal Máiquez will carry out an activity of graphic work in direct, giving the possibility of acquiring the works to support an association of aid to the children victims of the wars.
The last workshop is scheduled for Saturday 4 November (12:00 pm) at the Museo del Teatro Romano and the painting course 'Remodeling the History', with Belén Orta and Olga Rodríguez Pomares, for children and young people from 8 to 14 years.
Solidarity auction
The exhibition will also be complemented by lectures on the art and the process of creating the works on display.
On Saturday, October 21 (5:30 pm), Luis Marino will speak at the Consistorial Palace on 'The creative process of Sirvs', while on Saturday, October 28, in the same space at 18:30, Julia Marín, graduated in Fine Arts and Master in Archeology, will give the talk 'Canto to Women and the Arts', which will feature the collaboration of the creator Rosana Sitcha.
As a closing event of the exhibition, Juan Antonio Lorca advanced that on November 3 (20:00 hours) in the Auditorium of the Teatro Romano de Cartagena, "there will be a joint auction of ceramics works by the 16 artists of the exhibition in support of an NGO to help children affected by war, and we will join art, participation and solidarity in the halls of this space, the most visited museum and one of the most prestigious cultural centers in the region.
