The Local Police of Cartagena will incorporate 120 new portable radio transmitters equipped with TETRA Digital technology that will guarantee greater autonomy and security to the agents.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco Aznar, came to the Security Park Wednesday to present, along with the head of the Local Police, Eusebio Serna, the new terminals that will incorporate local police officers within a month, when you have purchased the software license for your use.
The 120 new walkie-talkies correspond to the Motorola MPT3550 model with Tetra Digital radio technology and have a GPS module that will allow you to know the location of the units at any time, a high level of resistance to shock and humidity (IP65), lithium battery high capacity, display and advanced sound accessories.
They are also lighter and more compact than agents have been using to date.
When these new devices are in operation they will be integrated into the TETRA emergency network of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and, in this way, the municipal police will be able to coordinate with the different emergency services like Civil Protection and Firemen as well as with all the police of the Region, which will facilitate the tasks of the security forces and bodies in case of emergency.
Francisco Aznar has pointed out that in a meeting with the director general of Emergencies this one committed to that it would be the own entity that would acquire the equipment, but finally it will do it the City council of Cartagena in order to expedite the commissioning of the same, according to has indicated the mayor.
